If two batteries are connected in series, a charge imbalance can occur. The balancer compares the voltage of the two batteries connected in series. The balancer draws a current of up to 5A from the battery (or batteries connected in parallel) with the highest voltage. The resulting difference in charging current then ensures that all batteries equalize to the same state of charge. If necessary, several balancers can be connected in parallel.
