With our plug-and-play balcony power plants, you produce your own electricity and simultaneously lower your electricity bill. A set of this size delivers up to 300 kWh per year, which, at an electricity price of CHF 0.29/kWh, translates to savings of around CHF 87. This means your balcony power plant will have paid for itself in three to four years, while its lifespan of 15 to 20 years means it will continue to generate free electricity for a long time.
The set consists of a 335 W monocrystalline solar panel measuring 166 × 100 × 4 cm and weighing 17.8 kg, an MI 300 microinverter, and a 5 m connection cable with a Swiss mains plug. The feed-in power is 300 W.
Our inverter is one of the few on the market that fully complies with Swiss legal requirements and comes with an official declaration of conformity. Installation is particularly easy: simply connect the cables, attach the solar panels vertically or at an angle to the railing using the included balcony bracket, and the power starts flowing. You can monitor your production at any time via the app for iOS and Android.
Solutions also exist for tenants: If the system is installed outside the balcony railing or on the facade, the landlord's consent is required, as they would be liable in case of damage. Casafair and the Tenants' Association have created a model agreement to make it easier for landlords to approve the installation – provided that the panels are professionally installed and the tenants assume liability.
If the balcony mount doesn't fit your situation or you're looking for a roof-mounted solution, you'll find further options in our mounting materials. We're also happy to advise you personally so you can find the right solution for your home and soon start producing your own solar power.
