The 160-watt Flex is specifically designed for use in balcony power plants. It combines high performance with compact dimensions and is ideal for urban environments where space is at a premium. Its light weight and flexible design make the panel exceptionally versatile – even in locations where traditional glass modules reach their limits.

Modern cell technology for stable yields

The solar panel utilizes modern shingled cell technology, one of the latest developments in solar cell technology. This design offers significant advantages in partial shading: The solar cells are divided into many small groups (strings) and connected in parallel. As a result, only the shaded areas produce less electricity, while the sunny areas continue to reliably supply energy – ensuring consistent and stable energy yields in everyday use.

Optimized for balcony railings

The 160 Watt Flex panel's dimensions are specifically designed for balcony railings, making installation as easy as possible. Measuring 101 x 89 cm, the panel can be mounted horizontally or vertically. When mounted vertically, the connection cables can be routed almost invisibly at the bottom – for a clean and discreet installation.

Also ideal for tenants

Do you want to produce your own solar power but are unsure about the legal requirements? Generally speaking, anything mounted outside the rented property (i.e., outside the balcony railing or facade) requires the landlord's consent. This is due to liability for potential damage caused by falling solar panels.

Landlords can grant permission subject to conditions, such as professional installation and tenants assuming liability. A sample agreement was drawn up in cooperation with Casafair and the Tenants' Association (source: topten.ch).
