Solar Systems FAQ
Yes, absolutely. We're happy to configure a solar system that matches your needs!
No. The size of the batteries has no influence on the charge controller. This means that you can charge two or three batteries with a 20A charge controller.
No. Only a maximum of 50% can be used. It also depends on how quickly the battery is discharged: the faster it is discharged, the less capacity is available. So, realistically, you can park it for about 3 to 3.5 days.
Yes. For example, you could use glue to mount the mounting corners and connect the solar panel to these mounting corners using screws. This would allow for disassembly.
Yes. We have our own workshop at our headquarters in Oetwil am See, where we are able to install your solar system on your vechicle by prior arrangement. Depending on the vehicle and the complexity of the installation, the installation takes between half a day and a full day.
The difference in the strength (10A, 20A, etc.) of the charge controller only determines how many solar modules can be connected to it.
At 10A, up to 130W can be connected, and at 30A, up to 390W. The biggest difference is whether you use an MPPT or PWM charge controller. MPPTs offer up to 30% more power with the same solar modules.
