Installation instructions for your solar power system

Does installing your solar system seem very complicated and you don't know how to do it? No problem! In this video, we at AutoSolar explain step by step how the installation works and what you need to bear in mind. In the following video, a solar system with two 160-watt flexible solar panels with an associated 30 A charge controller and 2000 W pure sine wave inverter is installed. The battery is already in the camper and is located under the passenger seat.

Below, you can download our installation instructions for assembling your solar power system. These instructions show you how to connect the cables correctly, for example. Further information and tips on installing solar panels are also available.

There are basically two options for mounting solar panels. Flexible panels are glued directly onto the roof using Sikaflex, as shown in the video above. The monocrystalline rigid panels are mounted with corner spoilers, which are glued onto the roof. Of course, the rigid panels can also be installed on existing structures, such as roof racks.

The following guides show how the individual components of a solar system must be connected and what to pay attention to. The key point is to know whether the panels are connected in series or in parallel. In general, parallel connection is the better option in cases of partial shading of the solar panels. The video linked above explains this in more detail.
