At some point the setup stops being a system and becomes a collection. The charge controller has its app. The inverter has its own. The BMS talks only to itself, and you find out how full the water tank is when the pump runs dry. Five systems, five versions of the truth, no overview.
The UNITURA CU2 brings them together.
One screen for the whole installation. The CU2 collects data from every connected component and shows it in a single app: inverter, MPPT charge controller, DC-DC charger, lithium BMS, temperature sensors and tank levels. Not one after another, but simultaneously, in real time. You stop seeing five isolated numbers and start seeing how your system behaves.
WiFi means: even when you're not there. Bluetooth reaches the front door. WiFi reaches home. The CU2 runs on 2.4 and 5 GHz alongside built-in Bluetooth — check the vehicle in winter storage just as easily as the installation at the holiday house. Firmware updates arrive over the air, no cable, no workshop visit.
Nine ports. Because real systems aren't one device. Six RS485/CAN ports with RV-C protocol for charge controllers, inverters and peripherals. One galvanically isolated RS485 port for interference-prone runs. A separate, also isolated BMS port for battery communication. Plus two TTL connections. That port density is rare in this class — most controllers force you to decide which device gets connected and which doesn't.
It doesn't just display. It acts. Multiple freely programmable relay outputs turn the controller into control: fan on over-temperature, generator start signal at low state of charge, pump on tank level. A built-in buzzer warns you audibly before you even reach for your phone.
Small housing, wide range. The 10 to 100 volt DC input covers 12V, 24V, 48V and 96V systems — the same controller grows with your installation. Own consumption stays under 1.2 watts, cooling is passive, with no fan. Operating range -35°C to +65°C. The IP20 rating calls for a protected mounting spot: technical cabinet, electrical compartment, interior.
In a motorhome, it replaces three apps with one. At a holiday house, you see from a distance whether the system will make it through winter. In a boat build, the isolated BMS port matters when charger and battery share the same run.
