Flexible solar panels have a problem. Actually, three.
First: they crack. One impact, one pressure point, one vibration too many — and microcracks in the cells cause gradual performance losses that remain invisible until it is too late. Second: they overheat. When individual cells become too hot, hot spots develop — areas that not only reduce power output but can also pose a fire risk in extreme cases. Third: shade. A single shaded cell can reduce the performance of an entire string to a fraction of its potential. No charge controller in the world can fully compensate for that.
The SOLTURA 310 Ultra was developed to solve all three problems. With three patents.
Patent 1: The lamination process. A structure that does not give in.
At the core of the SOLTURA 310 Ultra is a multi-layer composite material with a honeycomb structure — a design nature developed millions of years ago to achieve maximum strength with minimal weight, now transferred to solar panels through precision manufacturing. The patented lamination process bonds the layers in a way that distributes mechanical stress evenly: no concentration of force on individual points, no microcracks caused by vibration, no failure caused by impacts.
Where conventional flexible panels break, the SOLTURA 310 Ultra flexes — and returns to its original shape. The honeycomb structure makes the difference between a panel that survives a season and a panel built to last for decades.
Patent 2: Cell-level shade management. Shade is no longer a problem.
Conventional panels operate in strings: one shaded cell restricts the current flow through the entire section. The SOLTURA 310 Ultra takes a decisive step further. Its patented shade management technology operates at the cell level — shaded areas are automatically bypassed while all other cells continue producing at full efficiency.
This means: no catastrophic power drop when a branch casts a shadow. No energy loss when a boat turns and part of the panel becomes shaded. No compromises when parking under trees. The SOLTURA 310 Ultra generates energy from every square centimetre exposed to sunlight, regardless of what happens to the rest of the panel.
Patent 3: The thermally insulating backsheet. No hot spots. No risk.
Hot spots occur when individual cell areas overheat under intense sunlight — an effect that can lead to energy losses, cell damage and, in extreme cases, fire hazards in conventional flexible panels. The patented thermally insulating backsheet of the SOLTURA 310 Ultra actively regulates the temperature across the entire panel surface: heat is distributed evenly before it can concentrate in critical areas.
The result: no hot spots, no thermal stress on the cells, no performance losses caused by overheating — even under the most intense summer sun on a black camper roof in the south.
63% lighter. A difference you can feel on the road.
The SOLTURA 310 Ultra weighs 4.4 kg per square metre. A conventional glass module of the same size weighs more than two and a half times as much. With 63% less weight on the roof, the difference is noticeable in fuel consumption, vehicle handling on mountain roads and ease of installation. No safety glass, no heavy aluminium frame — only the material that is actually needed.
For three worlds. For one standard.
Motorhomes and campervans.
Partial shading at the campsite, vibrations on the motorway, heat in southern climates: the SOLTURA 310 Ultra is patented specifically to handle these three challenges. Less weight, more energy, zero compromises.
Boats and sailing yachts.
Glass-free construction means no risk of shattered glass in rough seas. Cell-level shade management means full power even when the mast casts a shadow across part of the panel. The thermally insulating backsheet remains reliable even under saltwater exposure and intense reflected sunlight.
Flexible off-grid systems.
Wherever orientation, weight or partial shading make a standard panel less than ideal, the SOLTURA 310 Ultra is the better solution.
Ultra Series. By AutoSolar.
Three patents. 63% less weight. Shade management that no other flexible panel offers at this level. The SOLTURA 310 Ultra is not the cheapest panel on the market. It is the right one.
Built for conditions where others give up. Ultra Series by AutoSolar.
